Betty E. (Bunyard) Brackett, 85, of Decatur, IL passed away on June 17, 2011
at Decatur Rehabilitation Health Care Center in Decatur.
 
A graveside service celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Dawson and Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. 
 
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.

Betty was born on April 3, 1926 in DeWitt, IL, the daughter of Horace and Helen (Harrold) Bunyard. She married F. Earl Brackett in 1954. He passed away on February 19, 1998. Betty was a member of Central Christian Church. She worked as a Store Manager in Clinton and also ran the Goodwill here in Decatur with her late husband for 15 years. 
 
She is survived by her son: Rick Hinton of Decatur, IL; step-son: Ron Brackett of New York City, NY; two granddaughters: Jennifer Sue Hinton and Georgina Lee Hinton and one step grandson: Charlie Brackett. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren and special friend: Terry Props of Decatur, IL.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Jimmy and one brother.
 
The family wishes to thank Chris and the caring staff of Decatur Rehabilitation Health Care Center of Decatur for all of their compassion for Betty.

I lost track of Betty several years ago...I hated that because we were so close..I wish I had known where she was all these years.
Betty, Earl, my Bill and I had some great memories..guess after we moved to Florida things changed..
Rick I wish I had known...this is sad
